Etsy is looking for an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager with a strong background in cloud infrastructure, software development tools, and CICD to lead exciting technology changes in an environment of rapid, iterative implementation.Etsy’s Technical Program Management (or TPM) Team is a service organization within engineering whose success is measured by our ability to increase engineering efficiency and drive consistency in delivering on the long term strategy. We do this by providing (1) Management of significant and cross-team projects and programs, (2) Process Improvement and Agile coaching, and (3) Advisory Services in support of strategy and operations.As Etsy continues to improve its developer experience, this Senior Technical Project Manager will play a key role in partnering with our developer infrastructure teams to make this a successful story. Specifically, the candidate will provide support for initiatives that are focused on providing providing new and improved developer tools so that other Etsy Engineers can effectively and seamlessly build great products for our buyers and sellers.This is an exciting time to join us as Etsy's engineering team embarks on its next generation work. About the Role
Actively promote and enable consistent engineering processes and practices in alignment with Agile methodologies
Effectively engage with engineers, managers, executives, external vendors, and/or other stakeholders to deliver projects across teams or organizations
Collaborate seamlessly across teams to track complex project dependencies, mitigate risks and issues, build clear lines of communication, and ensure transparency about status
Partner with engineering teams and leaders to improve engineering effectiveness and deliver a great developer experience.
Enthusiastically contribute to Etsy’s Technical Project Management (TPM) Community of Practice by sharing insights, tools, and lessons learned
You have 5+ years of a proven successful track record in technical project and program management
You have 3+ years of experience working as part of an Agile team leveraging methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFE; Scrum Master or Product Owner certification is a plus
You have experience with large scale infrastructure projects (cloud related is a plus), and are familiar with modern CI/CD and provisioning practices (knowledge of Terraform or Jenkins a plus)
You can comfortably work in a geographically distributed organization
You take pride in your expert verbal and written communication skills, and are able to quickly distill core issues into tailored messages for various audiences across all management levels
