Senior Front End Developer

A multi award winning educational training and software company are looking for a Senior Front-End Web Developer, who is highly motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. The right candidate will have the ability for delivering quality user experiences, a portfolio of your recent work and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The candidate must have proven experience in JavaScript, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and AngularJS. 

The job will involve building and maintaining websites and web applications, working with our back-end developer and our wider digital team. Experience of Foundation and Bootstrap frameworks is mandatory. The candidate will need a track record of building sites that demonstrate a fantastic attention to detail. The developer will work from in design layouts produced by our design team and will be expected to play a significant part in the interpretation of the designs, contributing to UX/UI and motion.

The role will also include SEO support for our digital marketing team, ensuring our website and applications integrate fully with Google Analytics and AdWords and other third-party tracking applications

Responsibilities:

•    Develop new user-facing features
•        Build reusable code and libraries for future use
•        Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
•        Optimize application for maximum scalability and performance
•        Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

Skills and Qualifications

•        Excellent understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
•        Experienced in server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
•        Excellent understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
•        Excellent understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as AngularJS, ReactJs or  KnockoutJS,
•        Excellent understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
•        Excellent understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
•        Well experienced in code versioning tools, such as Git / SVN
•        Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.

Understanding of backend coding (ASP.Net C#) and structures such as MVC and MVVM is beneficial.
