The NI Business Insights and Analytics team is seeking a Senior Business Analyst - Global Support Services, who will be a trusted advisor to various Engineering Sales & Services functions by delivering actionable insights into the strategic decision making process. This is an extremely high-visibility role driving global engineering sales & services transformation and will involve tremendous learning opportunities in a fast-paced environment. The stakeholders are a high-performing Engineering Support unit, responsible for the delivery of cutting-edge test & measurement hardware/software to NI's strategic key customers in: semiconductor, automotive, aero & defense, and IIoT industries. Key Responsibilities:• Mining and analyzing various data sources to glean actionable insights into sales and marketing decision-making• Developing scalable data/reporting/analytics solutions using a variety of industry-leading technologies and methodologies• Delivering complex insights in a relevant context to high-level decision makers• Building effective partnerships with business stakeholders in Engineering, Sales, Support and Business Insights and Analytics groups up to the executive level Expectations:• Interact with business leaders to identify key challenges and identify how data can be used to help resolve them• Consult with business executives to evaluate and implement actionable business performance metrics• Leverage traditional SQL (or SQL-based tools) big data technologies and tools (NoSQL, Hadoop, Python etc.) to develop scalable data sets• Write complex queries that profile, clean, extract, transform and merge a variety of data (e.g. customer, product, financial and web data)• Leverage the data/reporting solutions to provide proactive insights• Prepare reports and dashboards for management/executives in a digestable format Why NI? More @: http://www.ni.com Basic requirements• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university• 5 years’ experience in data analytics• Experience analyzing large data sets using data mining techniques (Ex: SQL queries, data profiling, sampling, exploratory analysis, statistical analysis using Python & R)• Experience analyzing sales and services performance indicators and developing reports and dashboards for: territory management, compensation management, quotas• Experience with the full lifecycle consulting with business stakeholders on strategic and tactical decision-making Preferred requirements• Masters degree in Computer Science or Information Management preferred• Experience with BI reporting and analytics tools(Tableau, Oracle BI, Sales Force)• Experience delivering reports and insights to executive stakeholders• Proven experience driving data analytics programs to drive pipeline & revenue growth National Instruments is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
