Job description

This position is for a lead technician who’s responsible for leading a team of 10 techs delivering Windows 10, pre & post support, and triaging. Responsibilities include coordinating and managing escalations for deployment including on-time delivery of milestones and projects. This lead will be flexible to change as the project develops and provide oversight of the company standards to the deployment techs.The Deployment Lead Technician will be responsible for taking direction from the program manager for the following projectsWindows 10 UpgradeHardware RefreshAV UpgradeIi. ResponsibilitiesMust supervise, review, and elevate team’s work on a fast-paced project.Provide oversight of the team to ensure company standards are followed.Mentor staff on various relevant topics of interest, in general, share your knowledge with the team.Recognize project issues and make them visible to project management.Create/Manage a knowledge base of issues and resolutions.Maintain Hardware inventory level and follow asset inventory guidelines.Handle escalations, questions and escalate calls and issues where necessary to L3 support.Able to set priorities and provide appropriate response time to phone, emails and project tickets.Work alongside current End User Services team and communicate with that team.Perform standard duties of Deployment Technician including Image and deploy laptops with Windows 10, installation of applications, migrating user files and configuration.Own and troubleshoot computer issues that may appear in a diverse environment.Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction in a high touch environment.Coordinate scheduling with end usersDiplomatically manage customer’s expectations and remain composed under pressure.Ensure team captures issue details and are entered into ticketing system according to the procedure.Able to thoroughly exhaust all available resources in pursuit of resolution before escalation.You are expected to be a Technical SME, and handle Project Effort Estimation Related Activities, process compliance.You are expected to conduct yourself with the poise and skills of a polished level 2 resource.Must be able to work independently on issues and assignments and report daily progress to the leadership.MUST effectively communicate technical ideas and instructions to non-technical end users, without sounding pretentious, while maintaining a positive perspective.The job requires occasional travel and requires some off-hours or weekend work.Ability to work various shifts and occasional overtimeIII. Experience And EducationMust have some project management skills and strong supervisory skillsExperience managing a team of more 10 or more peopleMinimum 10 years’ experience within relevant IT fields is desiredKnowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Windows operating systemsGeneral understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, and basic network concepts a plusCommunicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writingAble to compile, organize and analyze complex dataExcellent oral and written communication skills.Excellent organizational, analytical skills and able to work on multiple tasks while meeting deadlinesReadily accessible via mobile phone and email during off-hoursDetail oriented, follows and implements corporate procedures and policies.IV.
