FLSA: Exempt General Summary:The IT Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for major IT projects, as well as the day-to-day activities of the Information Technology department. The position requires expertise in the analysis, design, implementation, and support of technology and application related projects such as computing platforms, network infrastructure, and system software products to meet business requirements. This position will report directly to the Vice President/Director of IT. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of success in the management of people, processes, and projects. Technical and functional experience in a Microsoft environment is required, along with leadership capabilities and a strong work ethic. Candidate must be a fast learner and willing to engage in self-study to increase knowledge of any company technology where they do not possess expertise.
Major Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and recommend relevant aspects of IT Strategic Plan, departmental goals, project plans, staff assignments, contracts, assess progress and report results.Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade and support of all IT systems, including telecommunications, servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, peripherals and Office Automation equipment.Keep current with the latest technologies.Work closely with the VP/Director of IT on project planning and implementation.Coordinate with corporate-based support groups to implement global IT changesLead IT staff in identifying IT technologies that bring competitive advantage to our business.Manage IT staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.Assist in creating and maintaining corporate IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing and service provision.Help company maintain its cybersecurity/risk posture through firewall/endpoint management, security control management, email security management, and by maintaining company’s disaster recovery plan. Manage software licensing and contracts for all products and services within candidate’s area of responsibility.Manage vendor/consultant relationships.Manage financial aspects of the IT department, including purchasing, budgeting and budget review.Define and implement service level agreements with IT service providers.Develop and evaluate options in infrastructure planning to support new applications and technologies.Design, specification, implementation, and support of all servers, and network infrastructure. Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) in Computer Science, Business Administration or a related discipline from an accredited college or university, or an equivalent work experience.7-10 years related IT experience and/or training.3-5 years enterprise level IT infrastructure technologies management/supervision.Able to communicate effectively orally and in writing, including the ability to describe complex systems in non-technical terms.Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationship with supervisor, team members, and vendors.Experience in procurement, Inventory and Asset Management of IT equipment.Must be familiar with responding to auditing requests (SSAE16).Self directed, must able to define both technical and business problems and create appropriate solutions.Strong organizational skills and the ability to quickly assess and prioritize in order to meet project deadlines.Strong analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.Must be able to lift and move various computer, server, and rack equipment.Knowledge of Windows 2016 or above Server platforms, including Active Directory Domain and Group Policies.Advanced knowledge of Citrix Xen App and Microsoft Server products, such as Exchange, SQL Server, and SharePointAdvanced knowledge and administration experience with Microsoft Office 365 product offerings including licensing.Advanced skills in firewall, endpoint, and email security management solutionsKnowledge of security control frameworks such as NIST or ISO 27001.Solid understanding of protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, FTP, SSL, SMTPTechnical certifications are a plus (MCP, MCSA or MCSE, CCDA, CCNA, CCA, CISSP etc.).
