Alchemy Global is in search of a DLP Engineer in RTP (Research Triangle Park) NC, to play a key role within our organization, with extensive experience in Symantec DLP Incident Remediation and Policy Management. You will serve as a specialist on global data protection matters. Liaise with business and technology groups to provide functional and technical expertise related to data protection, security and privacy. You will provide data analysis to identify incident trends and patterns. Programming skills for improved automation is preferred. The correct candidate enjoys working on complicated technical challenges with some of the best and brightest engineers in the industry

The ability to work cross organizationally within large organizations and exercise interpersonal skills to become a trusted advisor who can keep projects and tasks moving forward is a must. This role will be a perfect fit for a techno geek who loves to think big around the art of the possible and has a communication style that puts people at ease.


Requirements:

    • Work with internal stakeholders and customers to identify sensitive data and identify the most efficient method of protection levering DLP tools
    • Continual review and tuning of existing rules
    • Work with vendors and Security Engineering to troubleshoot and test DLP functionality
    • Leverage automation capabilities to funnel events into ServiceNow for triage and management
    • Creation of unique rulesets to support Compliance, Legal, and HR with investigations
    • Ownership and delegation of key DLP operational tasks
    • Creation of new defensible collection techniques for a variety of data sources related to DLP
    • Develops, researches and maintains proficiency in tools, techniques, countermeasures and trends in DLP such as GDPR and other industry regulations
    • Participates in incident response sometimes taking ownership and leading an incident to conclusion.
    • Detect potential data breaches/data ex-filtration transmissions and prevents them by monitoring, detecting and blocking sensitive data endpoint actions, network traffic and data storage.
    • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience
    • 3 Years of Symantec and/or McAfee DLP operational experience is required; must have implemented and managed DLP program; must possess strong technical knowledge of DLP architecture, system policies, rules, etc.
    • Coding/Scripting experience (e.g. Python, Perl, PowerShell)
    • Proven experience with creating Regular Expressions
    • Strong verbal and written communications skills; must be able to effectively communicate technical details and thoughts in non-technical/general terminology to various levels of the organization.
    • Work well in team environments with internal and external resources as well as work independently on tasks
    • Strong organizational, and time management skills
    • Exposure to Microsoft Office 365 and any secure large transfer technologies
    • US Citizens Clearance Eligible


Preferred Skills

    • CISSP, CISA, CEH, OSCP, or other industry recognized security certification(s)
    • Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) implementation and/or management experience
    • Next Generation Anti Malware implementation and/or management experience
    • Threat Intelligence administration experience; have used or implemented the above program in some capacity, understanding incident response, analysis, rules, etc.
