Job description

As a .NET web developer at Uselab, you will be responsible for the conceptualisation and production of technical solutions. You will primarily be developing server-side code for websites or online applications. These are often based on existing Content Management Systems platforms such as Sitecore or Umbraco (Cloud). These platforms integrate with 3rd party services, mostly CRMs. For example: Eye Move (housing corporation Eigen Haard), OTYS (deployment agency Consolid), or Bullhorn Connexys (energy infrastructure company Fudura). Every client has its own challenge: think of peakloads on the 'openhousing-day' of the NVM, or sensitive data of people searching for rental houses at Ymere. Despite the fact that your focus will be on writing server-side code, you are an all-rounder who knows your way around HTML, CSS and Javascript.

Responsibilities
As webdeveloper at Uselab you're responsible for new projects and existing ones. This is what you'll be doing:

  • Designing solutions
  • Development
  • Testing
  • Improving the code based on reviews from our peers
  • Deployment

New & existing projects
We work with multiple clients and often have new projects which give us the opportunity to develop platforms from scratch until they go live. Because of this, we investigate and design solutions using the best technologies to reach our goals.

Besides new projects you are responsible for supporting existing projects, by introducing new features and continuously improving existing ones, based on customer feedback.

You will work on projects as part of a multidisciplinary team (product owner, scrum master, projectmanager, designers, frontend and backend developers) to deliver sustainable solutions. Depending on the project, we follow a Waterfall or Agile approach.

Uselab Academy
To keep delivering sustainable solutions we meet every month to share ideas, discuss new technologies, and improve our development process. Code reviews are part of our project planning, budgets for personal professional growth aren't fixed but adapted to your needs.

List of extra Buzzwords
