Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical operations support and oversee data infrastructure
  • Provide technical operations support and oversight of large cloud hosted infrastructure
  • Provide strong troubleshooting skills using experience and other available resources
  • Provide monitoring, disaster recovery, and system support
  • Maintain up-to-date detailed documentation and publishing; where applicable
  • Assist in ensuring 24x7 availability of services and infrastructure

Requirements:

  • Experience and hands on knowledge of MongoDB, MySQL; Preferred: Redis, Snowflake, and Kafka/AWS Kinesis
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from accredited institution and or equivalent experience
  • 5 plus years hands-on data analysis or research experience in database sharding, replication, recovery, and performance optimizations, in Mongo DB highly preferred
  • Proficient in data migration and minimization of downtime supporting an SLA
  •  Hands on production support in a DevOps CI/CD highly available environment
  • Strong, hands on knowledge and experience working with Amazon Web Services
  • Strong, hands-on knowledge of scripting and automation tasks
  • Experience with Bash, Python, Perl, or other shell automation language
  • Thorough understanding and working knowledge of various Linux platforms. primarily Ubuntu
  • Structural understanding of AWS Storage facilities: Elastic Block Store, ephemeral, and SSD volumes
  • Extensive experience with backup and disaster recovery best practices
  • Experience in an agile development environment
