Our Research and Development Division currently has two positions available for Software Developers, Research:

One will join the software engineers and UX designers in the Research Technology Group (RTG) which supports information technology needs in the areas of design, development, and deployment. The successful candidate will assist with the design and implementation of engaging, interactive, and innovative assessments; provide technology support for research efforts on both internal and external projects that may include national and international testing programs (e.g., NAEP, TOEFL); and contribute to technological solutions for supporting access to assessments by students with disabilities. Requirements include Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least four years of experience building web-based, mobile, and/or cross-platform applications that have a high degree of user interactivity as well as knowledge of JavaScript, CSS and HTML5, along with JavaScript UI frameworks such as Bootstrap, AngularJS, or React.

The other will be a full stack software developer based in our Research Foundry, a dedicated agile team focused on advancing research capabilities towards marketplace applications. The successful candidate will lead the technical aspects of designing, implementing, and/or integrating of engaging, interactive, and innovative capabilities; serve as technical lead for small interdisciplinary agile teams focused on producing user-informed functional prototypes that could be tested in target markets; and collaborate with both internal and external colleagues and consultants to ensure on-time completion of project goals. Requires Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least four years of experience building web applications, with a high degree of user interactivity as well as knowledge of JavaScript, CSS and HTML5, SurveyJS, along with JavaScript UI frameworks such as Bootstrap, AngularJS, React, etc.
