TORONTO PUBLIC SECTOR CLIENT REQUIRES A BACK-END PROGRAMMER/DEVELOPER FOR A CONTRACT FROM APRIL 6, 2020 TO FEBRUARY 26, 2021 (APPROX ELEVEN MONTHS) MUST HAVE SKILLS:
Back-end development experience
• 3-7 years of experience Hands-on experience with modern technology stack such as Node.js, PHP, Python, GO, npm, RabbitMQ, Kafka, ElasticSearch, Redis, Git, Docker (Minimum 2+ years' experience) • Demonstrated experience with RDBMS / webserver / OS e.g. PostgreSQL, MongoDB, NGINX, Linux • Building API driven-solutions, microservices, analytics, security-driven development, and, transactional systems – e.g., RESTful APIs, GraphQL, API gateway • Demonstrated experience with Cloud delivery / deployment models Framework & testing experience
• Testing end-to-end, cross-browser, device, and accessibility testing (e.g. WCAG accessibility standards) including running automated test scripts • Demonstrated experience with web frameworks: Vue.js, React, Twig, Laravel, Symfony Leadership & methodologies
• Experience on a build/run team using agile methods such as understanding of product backlog in sprint planning, conveying vision for team on end-product, experience part of scrum ceremonies, etc. • Experience mentoring and coaching staff to support their development • Experience collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team • Experience working on a mature product balancing the need to address technical debt with new product enhancements through continuous iterations • Comfortable participating in design sprints and bringing your product and technical ideas to the wider team Communication • Comfortable to work independently and a diverse team of designers/developers • Demonstrated ability to get buy-in from a team to implement new and improved ways of doing things • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, cross-functional teams and across business lines • Experience influencing others by persuasion rather than authority – making your case through excellent communication, speaking clearly to be easily understood, and persuasive writing skills • Experience working with a complex group of stakeholders to understand and support their users’ needs Randstad Professionals Canada Randstad Canada is committed to building a diverse workforce reflective of the diversity of Canada.
