General Purpose of Position:

The Software Developer's primary role is to provide administrative and technical support for in-house developed and third-party applications. These applications include Sharepoint, Salesforce, SmartSheet and more. The Software Developer will work closely with the teams for new application development, enhancements, upgrades, modifications, and testing. This role will also include administration, support and further development of critical business applications and the ability to analyze, diagnose, find root cause of an issue and solve it or escalate the issue to another team or individual. Additionally, the Software Developer should proactively identify issues before they occur which assists in the overall maintenance of the applications. Supports other functional areas as directed and performs other duties as assigned. This position may be located in either the Memphis or Nashville office and reports to the Director of IS/Security.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement new software programs as needed.
  • Maintain and improve the performance of existing software. Recommend improvements to existing software programs as necessary.
  • Clearly and regularly communicate with management, employees and technical support staff.
  • Provide backup to the Sharepoint Programmer/DBA
  • Test and maintain software products to ensure strong functionality and optimization.
  • Assist users with PowerBI to create live dashboards and reports and serve as PBI Subject Matter Expert.
  • Provide development and support of Salesforce Lightning platform
  • Crosstrain with and assist support team members to advance programming efforts/projects.
  • Provide administrative and technical support for assigned applications via a ticketing system.
  • Support end-users in all phases of application usage.
  • Assist with application server administration and maintenance.
  • Coordinate and escalate issues to support teams and third-party vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Create and maintain support documentation for applications.
  • Perform duties outside of normal work hours as assigned/required.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science required.
  • Two plus years' experience in web and software development.
  • General knowledge of programming languages, VB, PHP, C# or other .Net Framework supported technology.
  • Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, including Windows 2012, 2016, 2019 server
  • Prior experience and current knowledge of SharePoint, Salesforce and other Web-based applications development.
  • Knowledge and preferably experience working with Powershell, HTML, SQL, CSS, JavaScript, and XML. Some SQL experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of common browsers, i.e. 32 vs 64 Internet Explorer (and modifying Tool/Settings)
  • Basic understanding of Web Servers and server management, IIS 7 management (restarting and console commands)
  • Ability to Create/Manage AD Users and custom FBA Users, unlocking accounts and resetting passwords
