We are delighted to be able to present an exciting, new opportunity to work for a growing, SME-sized business who operate in the highly competitive retail fashion sector. With an already well-established wholesale network and products in retail outlets across the UK, Europe and the USA, this company are embarking on growing their online retail presence to become a major brand in the UK fashion industry.

Due to them now bringing the website development in-house they are now looking for a talented Magento Developer to join their team. This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to work within a growing and collaborative ecommerce team where you will take full ownership of delivering first class functionality and front-end design specs across multiple websites.

Main responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership in Magento 2 development, best practices, features, extension development and architecture design
  • Provide clear technical advice to team members
  • Analyse, design, code, debug, test, document and deploy applications
  • Capture functional and non-functional requirements
  • Contribute in the delivery of clear and concise requirements specifications
  • Proactively identifying, communicating and addressing technical risks
  • Ensuring your code is thoroughly tested and well documented
  • Collaboration with external development teams

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Certified Magento developer credentials strongly preferred
  • Experience using PHP to create and consume web services (e.g. SOAP, REST)
  • Expert knowledge in design and implementation of ElasticSearch platform
  • Strong analytic and problem solving skills
  • Good knowledge of CSS and CSS pre-processors like Less and SaSS
  • Experience with release building and deployment software
  • 3+ years Magento development experience including developing retailer sites
  • Experience of multiple Magento 2 builds
  • PHP
  • CSS and HTML
  • JavaScript
  • jQuery
  • Backend and frontend development expertise
  • Source control expertise (git)
  • Ability to work to deadlines individually and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of hosting environments and basic server maintenance would be advantageous
