DescriptionIT Helpdesk - Austin, TX12 month contractBackground check upon offerJob SummaryProvides phone support on an insurance helpdesk for internal and external customers resolving technical problems.Essential Job Functions Receive approximately 50 inbound calls a day Troubleshoot Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10 issues Diagnose and resolve web based sales software issues within Internet Explorer Strong English verbal and written communication skills Utilize a knowledge base and corporate chats to research problems Able to learn insurance, new systems, and procedural changes Drives a positive customer experience Efficiently manages time in a structured work environment Work in a team-oriented office Experience Requirements Customer facing experience (phone and in-person) Technical experience or equivalent technical knowledge preferred Experienced with Microsoft Operating Systems and Internet Explorer Call center experience: Repetitive tasks, Understanding of metrics Experience in a structured environment: Adherence and availability Customer service: Face to face, Over the phone Technical skills: Basic knowledge of MS Office and Windows OS Preliminary testing : Answer scenario based questions, communication skills and technical knowledge in the answers Work expectations : Schedule adherence Education/Background Bachelors degree highly preferred Insurance background highly preferred Contractor Schedule Helpdesk operating hours are currently Monday through Friday 8:00 AM-8:00 PM. Hours and days of operation can change depending on business needs. CONTRACTOR MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO WORK ANY 8-HR SHIFT WITHIN THE OPERATING HOURS . Training hours are usually from 9:00am - 6:00pm.
